Garmin Sponsors Arun’s Ultra Run, Delhi to Chandigarh in 40 hours


ULTRA MARATHON MAN ON 250 KM NON-STOP RUN
AT ‘GARMIN ENDURANCE RUN'


New Delhi, April 23, 2015: Arun Bhardwaj, one of the first internationally acclaimed endurance racers from India and the first Indian to have been invited to participate in the Badwater Ultra marathon, today took off for a 250 km non-stop run from Delhi to Chandigarh. He was roped in by Garmin India, a unit of Garmin Ltd. the global leader in satellite navigation, to support the motto: Power of fitness at forty for a fortitude run. 'Garmin Endurance Run -- Delhi to Chandigarh' was organized to encourage people to lead active lifestyle and develop healthy habits.

The start line was from Central Park, Connaught Place, New Delhi, which marks the India’s Pride ‘Tiranga’ the first monumental flag installed at 207 ft height. The race finishes at Chandigarh on April 25, 2015.Arun Bhardwaj aims complete the 250km non-stop run in 40 hours with the help of Garmin Forerunner 920XT, the world’s first GPS multi-sport device with advanced features including running dynamics, VO2 max estimate, live tracking and smart notifications. The run is aimed to promote not only healthy lifestyle but also the importance of fitness devices that are gaining popularity.
