Garmin dominated the show

New Delhi 9th February, 2014- Garmin Corporation, a unit of Garmin Ltd., the global leader in satellite navigation, is pleased to announce the grand success at 2014 Auto Expo Components. Garmin launched an interactive Head-Up Display (HUD+) for free smartphone navigation apps and VIRB, its first true HD 1080p action camera series. Along with these products, Garmin showcased various other products on the stall such as Forerunners, and series of Personal Navigation Devices (PND’s).

The new product HUD+ is an innovative new way of viewing navigation information in the car, projecting crisp and bright directions onto a transparent film on the windshield or an attached reflector lens. By providing comprehensive road guidance at a glance and right within the driver’s line of sight, HUD+ can help increase safety and reduce driver distraction. HUD+ receives navigation information from a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone running a free companion smartphone app, which will be available on both App Store and Google Play soon.

New product VIRB is an action camera, which combines a unique feature set that makes it easier than ever to capture life’s memories.

Since its inception in 1989, Garmin has delivered 88 million GPS enabled devices- far more than any other navigation provider. Garmin’s market breadth in the GPS industry is second to none, having developed innovative products and established a leadership position in each of the markets it serves, including automotive, aviation, marine, fitness, outdoor recreation, tracking and wireless applications.
